May 2025, we had the privilege to install a huge 15m by 10m Hologauze® XL in Sao Paulo for the international launch of How to Train Your Dragon 2. Universal Pictures launched the movie with spectacular promotional events across the globe. The much loved dragons from the film appeared in the sky to the delight of the audience. São Paulo’s cityscape beyond the Hologauze® looked incredible, showcasing the exceptional brightness and transparency of Hologauze®. The talented team at Feed Me Light, produced the experience for the event and came to Holotronica to help them realise their project. The installation used eight 20k Ansi Lumen stacked projectors, with the Hologauze® deployed using catenary wires attached to a vaulted roof frame. The much loved characters took on a whole new dimension, vibrant and exciting.
The incredible Bristol Beacon provided us access to their state of the art facilities for pre-event tests. The dedicated in-house production trusses, each with a capacity of 2000 kg for lighting and production equipment enabled us to hang the Hologauze® and projector with ease and speed.
